About Red Chris
Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Red Chris currently operates as an open-pit copper and gold mine with a promising future to transition to a high-value underground block cave operation. You will be the frontline support for IT operations, ensuring seamless technology services for mine site employees. Your expertise in troubleshooting, infrastructure maintenance, and customer service will keep critical systems running efficiently.
- Provide Level 1 & 2 IT support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Maintain and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and mobile devices.
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Group Policy.
- Create and update IT documentation, knowledge articles, and service desk records.
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices.
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience by resolving technical issues efficiently.
- IT-related qualification or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- ITIL Foundation V4 certification (required); Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications (preferred).
- Experience in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in a remote location and on a rotational schedule.
- Remote mine site with modern IT infrastructure.
- 12-hour shifts in a rotational work schedule.
- Collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Occasional travel to other locations, including the Vancouver office.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$87,875 - $95,000 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
