The Role, Your Impact:

The Director is in charge of decision-making, engaged with the VP of Food service and Industrial, overseeing a segment of the business, and ensuring that operations align consistently with the company’s goal. Director is accountable in driving business growth, profitability, and market competitiveness, and driving consistency on strategic selling capabilities, bringing methods to apply across all resources in all regions.

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with Olymel’s mission and vision.
  • Lead innovation in product development and processing techniques to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with key departments (e.g., demand planning, marketing, R&D) to ensure alignment on business priorities.

Operational Oversight & Compliance

  • Drive consistency of strategic selling across the regions.
  • Implement performance metrics and a strategic selling approach across regions.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and sustainability initiatives in food production.
  • Proactively manage risks related to pricing, labor shortages, and supply chain disruptions.

Financial Accountability:

  • Revenue Growth and Profitability: The Director is responsible for driving revenue growth (working with RGM), identifying new business opportunities, and improving profitability. Director executes pricing strategies aligned with VP of sales, SCO, expanding into new products or markets, and leveraging supply chain efficiencies.
  • Risk Management: Proactively managing risks related to pricing fluctuations, labor shortages, and disruptions in supply chains (by pro-active engagement with VP and other functions).

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and manage a team of Senior Regional Managers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Oversee talent recruitment, development, and retention across the organization.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and customers.

Marketing, Sales & Customer Relationships

  • Manage relationships with key customers and strategic accounts, focusing on high-volume and foodservice providers.
  • Brand Development: Work with marketing teams to shape and execute the company’s branding strategy. This includes ensuring that products are positioned appropriately in the market. Collaboration with Trade marketing is necessary.
  • New Market Development: Identify new opportunities in domestic markets, where demand for meat products is growing and share opportunities with Business Development Director for taking the lead.
