What can I expect to do in this role?Your responsibilities will include:

• assisting the Trial Coordinator in maintaining court lists utilizing established scheduling practices
• liaising with Trial Coordinators, judiciary, counsel, other staff, and the public regarding the scheduling of matters
• identifying and bringing issues that may affect the schedule to the attention of the Trial Coordinator(s)
• assisting in the preparation of statistical information

How do I qualify?Qualifications:• You have organizational, coordination and planning skills to assist with the scheduling of court sittings.
• You have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• You have judgement and problem-solving skills.
• You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• You have analytical skills to assist with the compilation of statistical data.
• You have communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with tact and diplomacy with judges, staff, counsel and the public.
• You have knowledge of the functions and rules of the Superior and/or Ontario Court of Justice, relevant legislation and legal terminology.
• You are proficient with computer applications (word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, databases, email, Internet and management information systems).
