What can I expect to do in this role?As a part of this team you will:

• Manage print dockets, job scheduling and recommending the best options to clients to satisfy job quality, quantity, time and cost constraints
• Prepare and issue tender documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to consult on print and finishing capabilities while adhering to tight delivery dates
• Negotiate with clients and suppliers and manage the contractual process, service matters and contentious issues
• Report major problems to minimize impacts on cost and client service
• Perform related duties, including statistical analyses, usage trends, and budget-related forecasts
• Stay current on print services, policies, procedures, standards, and related requirements to advise and serve clients effectively

How do I qualify?Technical Knowledge:You have:
• Knowledge of print industry standards, procedures (e.g. prepress), methods (e.g. flat printing) and processes (e.g. envelope manufacturing)
• Knowledge of print equipment, paper and are able to provide advice to clients and management
• The ability to manage end-to-end print procurement processes and contract management
• The ability to develop print specifications based on requirements and samples
• The ability to suggest solutions for technical, service and contractual issues
• The ability to maintain the database for outsourced print jobs and create and prepare correspondence and reports relating to outsourced jobs

Work Scheduling, Time Management and Priority-Setting Skills:You have:
• Knowledge of work scheduling, time management, and priority-setting techniques in order to handle a constant and unpredictable number of varied print requests and client issues while balancing competing demands to meet strict deadline
• The ability to negotiate timelines and terms of the end-to end print procurement process and co-ordinate logistics
• Knowledge of on-line scheduling systems (e.g. Print and Logistics System) linking multiple locations to balance work load across the corporation

Analytical, Evaluation and Problem Solving Skills:You can:
• Use your analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving skills will assist in providing advice and implementing print solutions
• Prepare cost/benefit analyses to determine most cost effective print solutions

Mathematic and Computer Skills:You can:
• Calculate costs and propose fair pricing through the use of appropriate tools
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer and related software (e.g. MS Office, InDesign, Adobe Professional) to modify documents as required
• Provide explanations and advice on print, material, procurement options and cost estimates
• Calculate costs and quantities for orders and perform a range of calculations

Client Service, Written and Oral Communication, Negotiation Skills:You can:
• Demonstrate client service skills which will assist you to clarify details of job requirements (e.g. negotiate timelines, production and alternative print solutions and products) to meet client requirements
• Deal with internal and external business contacts to obtain costing and service information
• Evaluate vendor bids, and ensure accurate invoicing and co-ordinate with external vendors
