Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Administrative Aide to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Under supervision, performs various administrative, clerical, data collection, data entry, and report editing tasks specific to assigned project or work group. Most assignments require familiarity with standard Company processes and good PC skills
  • Prepares general correspondence and maintains general files. Answers telephone, taking and relaying messages. Receives, sorts, and distributes mail and couriers.
  • Gathering statistics and general data and then reviewing and combining this information into established reports for use within and outside the unit. Such reports may be in spreadsheet or graphical formats, or narrative-style word documents;
  • Formatting and editing prepared reports;
  • Verifying data gathered, such as matching information presented in reports to field data sheets;
  • May establish and maintain records of equipment, including a log of equipment service dates;
  • Verification of field samples (soil and groundwater) prior to submitting them to the laboratory for analysis;
  • Quality analysis and quality control (QA/QC) of laboratory analytical results and preparation of associated checklists and spreadsheets;
  • Providing assistance to Project Managers when planning/coordinating field work activities;
  • Data management (assistance with preparing and updating spreadsheets and information summaries);
  • Phase I research (collecting historical information such as aerial photographs, maps, water well searches, land title searches, etc.);
  • Scheduling utility locates; and,
  • Miscellaneous other office-related duties.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 1 or more years of relevant work experience;
  • Certificate from Administrative Professional, Office Assistant, or similar, would be an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team;
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills;
  • Maturity in interaction and ability to operate self-sufficiently
