Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Student Intern - Water Resources to join our team for any time suitable from 4 to 12 months!

We are looking for adaptable, self-motivated students who are excellent working both individually, as well as in a team. We expect hearing from Engineering (or related field) student with knowledge of water engineering. We need you to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with both your colleagues and external clients through excellent verbal and written communication. A strong attention to detail is essential, as well as having a methodical approach to problem solving. We will expect you to draw on your university and employment experiences to manage your time effectively and to meet deadlines.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering task for infrastructure projects with focus on drainage and stormwater management;
  • Coordination with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables;
  • Compilation of design drawings;
  • Preparing design submissions and other technical documents;
  • Assistance of Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering (or related field) co-op program;
  • In good academic standing;
  • Interested in civil/water and infrastructure design/construction field;
  • Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset;
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure, field work experience, and construction is an asset;
  • Experience in development of project layout and civil details.
  • Experience with Civil 3D is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microstation/OpenRd is an asset
