In a context of development and change, the Human Resources team is adapting and evolving rapidly to effectively meet the company’s growing needs.

We are seeking a Paymaster, responsible for executing the payroll process and managing the administrative aspects of employee benefits in a multi-site environment.

  • Perform the full payroll cycle for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Open and close employee files as needed.
  • Process payroll system updates related to employee files, including salary adjustments, address changes, banking information, job changes, etc.
  • Manage the payroll software and act as a super-user.
  • Calculate, update, and track various data (vacation, overtime, etc.) and ensure data integrity in the payroll system.
  • Administer the employee benefits program (group insurance, retirement plans, etc.) and manage disability files (CNESST, LTD, etc.).
  • Prepare files and liaise with internal clients (employees, HR, and managers), external clients, and partners (government agencies, employment insurance, etc.) to ensure efficient payroll operations.
  • Ensure all reports required by government authorities are completed accurately and submitted on time, including the preparation and issuance of Records of Employment when necessary.
  • Maintain the payroll system's GL module to ensure the accuracy of payroll-related journal entries and benefits, and assist in reconciling payroll-related accounts.
  • Complete year-end tasks related to auditing and the preparation of T4s and Relevé 1s.
  • Perform any other related tasks to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery and provide required analyses to management.

Requested skills

  • Détenir un diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) en administration ou dans une discipline connexe;
  • Plus de 5 années d’expérience pertinente à la gestion de la paie multi site (milieu manufacturier, environnement JDE et connaissance du logiciel Kronos sont des atouts);
  • Souci des priorités, discrétion, rigueur, collaboratif et esprit d'analyse;
  • Maîtrise de la suite Office et plus particulièrement Excel (niveau avancé);
  • Langues parlées et écrites : Francais et anglais (fonctionnel);
