Hourly rate: $42.64 to $49.88

The incumbent acts as “super user” of the time and attendance software (KRONOS) for scheduled employees in Emergency Services and the Residence. She prepares payroll for the S.C.F.P., Local 7911 “Paramedics” and “Superintendents” groups of Emergency Services employees. She prepares the annual salary budget for unionized Emergency Services employees, and assists the supervisor with salary and benefits analysis. She provides financial support to the payroll department.

Requested skills

  • Possess a three-year college diploma in administration, human resources, or any other related or relevant field;
  • Must maintain up-to-date knowledge of OMERS Pension Plan rules on an ongoing basis by attending training sessions for administrators and through reading on the site;
  • Must have completed the Canadian Payroll Association's Payroll Compliance Legislation course;
  • Must have a minimum of two years in the payroll field in a unionized environment with multiple workloads and deadlines;
  • Must have a good knowledge of current collective agreements and Council by-laws relating to employees, as well as the Corporation's various insurance policies;
  • Thorough knowledge of spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) and KRONOS time and attendance software;
  • General knowledge of word processing software (Microsoft Word), Magik Pay payroll software and human resources software (MX-RH);
  • Fluent in French and English (oral and written).

A criminal record check must be provided upon hiring only (dated no longer than three months prior to the date when it has been requested) and is a condition of employment.
