YOUR ROLE

Under the responsibility of the financial controller and in close collaboration with the human resources director, the holder of this position's main mission is to:

  • Enter data and reconcile attendance records, leave, and overtime hours of employees in order to calculate their remuneration and benefits.
  • Manage employee files, withholding taxes, employment records, group insurance, collective RRSP, vacation provisions, and hours, while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide employees with information regarding payroll, benefits plans, and collective bargaining agreement provisions.
  • Compile statistical reports related to compensation and benefits.
  • Participate in payroll-related projects and other administrative initiatives.
  • Ensure that all employees receive their pay within the required timeframes.

Requested skills

Professional Requirements:

  • Diploma in professional or college-level studies in accounting;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Operational Requirements:

  • Experience managing payroll in a unionized environment (an asset);
  • Any relevant experience in payroll processing will be considered.
