\n
\nRole & Responsibilities:
\nThe Contract Administrator will manage the day to day contractual priorities that are expected by Contractors, and recommends actions to be taken to ensure project stays on schedule in accordance with Project plans and demands.

  • Read, analyze and apply the contract in daily transactions and in minor disputes. \n\t
  • \n
  • Coordinate the Contract Kick-Off Meeting and other team meetings.\n\t
  • \n
  • Develop the Contract Administration plan in conjunction with the contract team.\n\t
  • \n
  • Review and approve (where no construction superintendent is assigned) all permits and training - approve readiness for work. Verify qualifications and provide training.\n\t
  • \n
  • Report on performance, including monitoring of contract costs, schedule, quality and technical performance. Verify contract completion.\n\t
  • \n
  • Manage integrated Change Control to ensure that changes are properly approved and that all those with a need to know are aware of and approving such changes.\n\t
  • \n
  • Administer and record job progress. Monitor the work activities to verify contract compliance. Documents administrative actions and all data required to support the project’s business activities and performance assessments. Document decisions and events.\n\t
  • \n
  • Verify that the technical and commercial contract conditions are fulfilled throughout the contract.\n\t
  • \n
  • Ensure that all work has been completed and that all deficiencies and administrative matters have been resolved. Monitor payments to Supplier.\n\t
  • \n
  • Complete contract closeout report for Contractor’s performance. \n\t
  • \n
  • Resolve minor contract disputes.\n
  • \n

\nQualifications / Requirements:\n\n
    \n\t
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, supply chain management, or a related field.\n\t
  • \n
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, legal affairs, or a related field\n\t
  • \n
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement and infrastructure projects is an asset.\n\t
  • \n
  • Successful experience in negotiating, drafting, interpreting, and administering significant contracts.\n\t
  • \n
  • Proficiency in contract management software, and Microsoft Office Suite\n\t
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-development skills, along with basic negotiator skills; oral and written. \n\t
  • \n
  • Good understanding of conventional text and legal terminology and documentation. \n\t
  • \n
  • Understand basic technical issues and documents. \n\t
  • \n
  • Very strong organizational and time management skills are required\n\t
  • \n
  • Ability to coordinate communications for multiple and/or mid-sized contracts.\n
  • \n
