\nRole & Responsibilities:
\nThe Engineering Manager is accountable for leading and managing the engineering activities of projects, ensuring that all technical aspects align with project objectives.\n\n

\n\t
• Lead engineering teams and service providers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.\n\t
\n
• Collaborate with the Project Services Manager to engage and onboard necessary engineering service providers.\n\t
\n
• Develop comprehensive engineering plans for both study phases and project execution.\n\t
\n
• Supervise on-site engineering activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, standards, and specifications.\n\t
\n
• Identify opportunities for design and layout optimization in partnership with engineering and project teams.\n\t
\n
• Provide technical expertise to resolve design and implementation challenges during project execution.\n\t
\n
• Oversee QA/QC processes performed by engineering service providers to uphold high engineering standards.\n\t
\n
• Work closely with the Procurement team to define purchase orders and contractor scope requirements.\n\t
\n
• Ensure engineering designs are effective and aligned with project objectives.\n
\n

• Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout project execution.\n\t
\n
• Implement and oversee risk management strategies to mitigate engineering-related risks.\n
\n

• Serve as the primary technical liaison with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.\n\t
\n
• Prepare and deliver technical reports, design reviews, and progress updates to project stakeholders.\n\t
\n
• Foster clear communication and collaboration among engineering providers to align with project goals.\n
\n

• Allocate resources effectively to achieve project milestones and objectives.\n\t
\n
• Delegate tasks efficiently, monitor progress, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.\n\t
\n
• Develop and implement professional growth plans for key team members.\n

• Promote continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and technologies to enhance project outcomes.\n\t
\n
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in mining engineering and integrate innovative solutions into projects.\n\t

\nQualifications / Requirements:\n\n

\n\t
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering\n\t
\n
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial position within the mining industry\n\t
\n
• Proven experience in leading mining projects including both underground and surface operations.\n\t
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of mining engineering principles, practices, and technologies\n\t
\n
• Full proficiency in Civil/Structural Engineering and Underground projects\n\t
\n
• Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).\n\t
\n
• Excellent communication skills\n
