The Risk Analyst Local Market Risk, Group Risk Management will help promote a Best of Class risk oversight environment. This includes the following core components:
- Definition of approved tradable instruments/products
- Aid in the construction and monitoring of market risks and limits
- Assist with monitoring compliance and policy requirements
What will you do?
- Deliver the key daily/weekly market risk metrics analysis through risk reporting and ensure the accuracy of risk data
- Analyse key trading strategies and products to ensure they are in line with risk tolerance and objectives.
- Manage the development and enhancement of the risk infrastructure (e.g. product mandate, limit reviews, and documentation)
- Ensure limits are comprehensive and include all risk factors that are relevant
- Investigate risks to provide value-added insight to senior management on risk trends and concerns.
- Review significant transactions to help facilitate businesses while ensuring proper risk controls.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Relevant experience required in a credit or market risk function including:
- Value-at-Risk measurement and back-testing
- Stress testing and scenario analysis
- Sensitivity analysis and p/l decomposition
- MBA, MA, MS or equivalent with emphasis in finance, economics or a quantitative discipline
- Knowledge of markets and products including:
- Interest rate derivatives
- Fixed income trading strategies
- Good command of Excel, VBA programming and Python
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong investigative and critical thinking skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong ability to manage multitasking under stressful environment

Please note:This posting is for a 4-months Winter 2025 Student placement with a start date of January 2025, and end date of April 2025. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of April 2025 ; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April 2025), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
