What is the opportunity?

This is a Senior ML & GenAI Engineer position which is part of a fast growing Wealth Management Technology & Solution (WMTS) Data Service team which will work with multiple RBC teams, upstream/downstream system consumers and services providers, 3rd party vendor partners, and operation partners. WMTS Data Service team is highly focusing on the communication, collaboration, integration, automation and measurement of cooperation in order to provide a range of operational, business, technical, and system needs, to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.

What will you do?

  • Lead and deliver large ML/GenAI technical initiatives from requirements clarification, solutioning, development to implementation.

  • Be an expert consultant on ML/GenAI technical and management direction for strategic projects with a focus on the cross-divisional strategies

  • Research emerging trends/best industry practices and determines implications of proposed solutions on meeting business unit strategy

  • Provide expert counseling to ML/GenAI application development community in building solutions by providing expert technical/solution services

  • Follow RBC Technology Standards to design, develop programs following technical design and implement to production.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong knowledge skills for GenAI, NLP and Machine learning, knowledge of data management.

  • Proficiency in Python, ML frameworks/libraries like Langchain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers.

  • Good knowledge of Public and Private cloud (Azure, AWS, OpenShift, Dockers, Kubernetes, ELK), good understanding of microservice architecture.

  • Experiences Database (SQL Server, Snowflake, SingleStore etc)

  • Strong analytical, consultative, and team communication / facilitative skills

Nice-to-have

  • Understanding of IT Standards, Methodologies, CMM & audit requirements

  • Agile experiences.

  • Financial institution knowledge
