What is the opportunity?
The Senior Risk and Compliance Specialist will provide technical expertise, consulting and advisory on risk and compliance for a suite of applications for the Endpoint Security Management and Operations teams within RBCs Global Cyber Security environment. In addition, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining metrics, providing up-to-date monitoring and reporting capabilities to leadership.
What will you do?
- Collaborates with Security Engineering and Integration teams to review the technical direction from a risk and compliance standpoint for existing and new Endpoint security products and services
- Develops, measures and monitors ongoing effectiveness of IT services for assigned business line(s) along with the creation of KPI/KRIs for measuring the control effectiveness and efficacy of endpoint security products
- Coordinates and monitors Endpoint Security compliance activities, ensuring all compliance is kept up-to-date
- Builds and maintains a service resiliency model based on key detection and prevention controls for the Endpoint Security products
- Contributes to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies
- Lead development and revisions of regulatory documentation and processes for key security controls
- Coordinates review of any documentation with senior leadership as needed
- Identifies opportunities for automation for our Center of Excellence Operational team
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Knowledge and understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance regulations
- Knowledge of Windows OS, MacOS, Linux/Unix based OS (RHEL) systems
- Knowledge of Endpoint security technologies
- Broad understanding of the following technology types: multi-layer applications, databases, web applications, load balancing, clustering, routing/switching, IP addressing, routing and subnetting, PKI, firewall technologies, encryption technologies
- Willingness to learn; some scripting in Bash or Python for example and scripting tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc.
- Understanding of key security concepts and analytical techniques
Nice-to-have
- Bachelors degree in computer and/or IT related disciplines
- Certifications in information security (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GCIH, CCSP)
- Knowledge of Agile framework and Jira
