Please note:This posting is for a 4-month Winter 2025 STUDENT placement with a start date of January 2025 and end-date of April 2025. In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of April 2025; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2024/April 2025), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

RBCs Value Office Delivery & Enablement department is seeking a highly motivated and talented student for a four-month term. The department consists of Program Managers, Project Managers and Business Analysts; a group of diverse and skilled professionals who play an integral role in the execution of projects and initiatives enterprise wide. Our vision is to empower a best-in-class team by strengthening organizational PM capabilities and constantly evolving Program Management and Business Analysis methodologies.With our Client First focus it is crucial that our candidates embody an agile mindset, to align and easily adapt to RBCs ever changing business needs. Successful candidates will be continuously challenged to plan, execute, and deliver. This role will be mentored by our current Business Analysts and allow you to gain hands-on business analysis experience.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate, Assess & Research Business Analysis & Documentation
  • Recommend business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients
  • Estimate, develop, create and manage Planning & Testing
  • Communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
  • Establish an environment of cooperation, collaboration and teamwork among colleagues, business groups and IT

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution studying Business or Commerce
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with high attention to detail
  • Displays strong competencies in relationship management, collaboration and time management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to adapt to dynamic situations, and can impact and influence outcomes

Nice to have:

  • Experience leading small projects or small/medium enhancements
  • Has successfully managed multiple small projects or initiatives simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodology
  • Some experience working on projects with information technology components and/or data analytics
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
