CASUAL EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL
& CASUAL EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS
For the 2024-2025 School Year
SCHOOLS: All locations. Successful applicants to the list(s) are able to indicate at which schools
they are willing to accept assignments. SCHEDULE: On call basis. No guarantee of hours. QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Support Personnel (ESP formerly known as EA):
A minimum two year community college diploma in the social services field (e.g. DSW, CYW, SSW), or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the District. (Transcripts will be requested to support relevant course detail.) Please attached diploma(s) or transcript(s).
Applicants must have a proven ability and willingness to perform the essential duties of an ESP, which includes assisting students in special programs, participating in assessment and treatment plan, record keeping as well as providing care and assistance. Care and assistance may include toileting, diapering, feeding, lifting, transferring, positioning and providing assistance with mobility. Applicants must be able to remain calm and non-confrontational under pressure.
Early Childhood Educators (ECE):
Two year Early Childhood Education Diploma and proof that registered and in good standing
with the College of Early Childhood Educators. (Please attached diploma or transcript and RECE confirmation)
Applicants must have a proven ability to work in a team environment, have stong organizational skills and strong time manangement skills in order to assist in the delivery of play-based learning to support the individual student's diverse needs and create a productive learning environment. Applicants must be able to remain calm and non-confrontational under pressure.
Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the applicable collective agreements and the RCDSB Administrative Procedures.
