Our expectations

The primary objective of this role is to lead the planogram team and oversee the strategic implementation of all initiatives related to design and productivity analysis. This includes planning, managing, and optimizing processes while enhancing existing tools, particularly by streamlining category and space management. The role also involves driving innovation to maximize space productivity in an efficient and creative manner.

Your role

  • Lead the team responsible for creating store-specific planograms, ensuring alignment with the company's strategy and the overall RONA category revision process, while maintaining operational efficiency during store remodels.
  • Develop innovative solutions and adopt best practices in space planning, leveraging data analysis and market trends to optimize planogram performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, particularly the space planning department, to assess the productivity of micro and macro spaces and support strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Promote a customer-centric approach in planogram development to enhance the customer experience and ensure a seamless omni-channel shopping journey.
  • Mentor and develop the team by fostering the learning of best practices and advancing skills in data analysis and planogram design.
  • Identify opportunities to improve space productivity by incorporating new technologies and methods to optimize layouts and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while actively gathering feedback from operational partners on new layouts, making quick adjustments as needed.

The qualifications we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Master's degree (an asset).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in similar roles within a large national organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of BleuYonder software (an asset) or equivalent software.
  • Strong judgment, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent adaptability and ability to manage priorities.
  • Action-oriented approach combined with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build trust and influence others.
  • Aptitude for adapting to changing and unforeseen situations.
  • Ability to make informed decisions in high-intensity environments.
