Position Summary

The Industrial Electrician (442A) ensures that multiple equipment types within the Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) & DDCs are fully operational. The incumbent works in a high performing team that can analyze, troubleshoot, and repairing broken equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance tasks, continuous improvement & project related tasks in electrical as well as general maintenance capacities

Shifts Available:

This position is scheduled as a condensed work week, Tuesday-Friday (5:45am to 4:15pm), however may require occasionally being available outside of these hours.

Salary: Starts at $34.68

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Always work safely to protect the well-being of yourself, your team, and those around you.

· Monitor key performance indicators and strive to achieve or exceed performance goals.

· Fix equipment breakdowns to minimize impact on operations.

· Prioritize work in accordance with business priorities and complete work by scheduled due dates.

· Prepare documentation and records to facilitate communication and planning.

· Completed assigned work on-time according to schedule.

· Develop and complete projects to drive continuous improvement.

· Work collaboratively with other maintenance professionals as a part of a team.

· Actively build positive team spirit and engagement through leadership.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Demonstrate willingness to assist the business requirements as they change.

· Should be flexible to adjust schedule with prior notice.

Qualification Standards

Qualification or significant work experience as an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright.

· Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safety among subordinates and peers.

· Consideration will also be given to candidates possessing an Electrician - Construction & Maintenance (309A) or an Industrial Electrician (442A) Certificate of Qualification, but these individuals must have supplementary experience or qualifications in the maintenance of mechanical equipment.

· Experience with mechanical maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

· Solid working experience of mechanical drives

· Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Can make solid decisions quickly based on limited information.

· Experience managing time and budgets.

· Ability and willingness to build rapport and trust with others.

· Experience with repairing/maintaining some of the following types of systems or equipment:

o Conveyors

o Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

o PLC systems and automation controls

o Electrical systems, 600V or less

o Materials handling equipment (MHE) including electric lift trucks

o HVAC mechanical systems and building automation

o Dock doors and dock levelers

· Basic Plumbing

· Fabrication and Welding

· Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving

· Communicate effectively

· Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and various technical drawings

· Highly motivated to the team’s success as well as own success
