Our expectations

The Purchasing Technician collaborates with the Purchasing Analyst to ensure efficient procurement operations. He.she provides essential support in purchase order processing, supplier communication, and order tracking. He.she assists in supplier evaluation and maintaining purchasing records, documentation, and generation of procurement reports for the management team. Also he.she is responsible to manage and update the various catalogues.

Your role

  • Purchase Order Processing
    • Receive and review requisitions for goods or services, and accurately create purchase orders in the procurement system based on approved requests. Ensure that all necessary information, such as item details, quantities, pricing, and delivery dates, is correctly entered in the purchase orders.
  • Order Tracking and Follow-up
    • Monitor the status of purchase orders and proactively track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods or services. Collaborate with suppliers to address any issues related to order confirmations, shipment updates, and any potential delays.
  • Support to Purchasing Analyst
    • Provide essential support to the Purchasing Analyst in various tasks related to procurement operations, procurement transaction-related issues, data analysis, and supplier relationship management. Collaborate with the Analyst to achieve shared procurement goals and objectives.
  • Supplier Communication
    • Communicating with suppliers regarding order confirmations, shipment updates, and addressing routine inquiries.
  • Document Management
    • Organize and maintain comprehensive purchasing records, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and other relevant documents. Ensure that all records are properly filed and readily accessible for auditing or reporting purposes.
  • Sourcing Support & Supporting Vendor Evaluation
    • Assisting in sourcing activities, gathering supplier information, and conducting initial supplier evaluations. Assisting the purchasing analyst in evaluating supplier performance and conducting supplier performance reviews.
  • Data Entry and Reporting
    • Accurately input purchasing data into the procurement system and other relevant databases. Assist in generating standard reports to track procurement performance metrics, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
  • Inventory Support
    • Collaborating with inventory teams to track stock levels and coordinating with suppliers for timely replenishment.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence
    • Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

The qualifications we are looking for

  • College Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain analysis.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems and procurement software is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in purchase order processing and data entry.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data entry and tracking.
  • Organizational abilities to manage purchasing records and documentation efficiently.
