Our expectations:Reporting to the Supervisor, Planning and Optimization and working in partnership with various departments including Direct Distribution Centers (DDC), Supply Chain, Transportation, Continuous Improvement, Finance and Sales, the DDC Analyst is responsible for developing tools and performance indicators to support the Direct Distribution Centers. This may include tools for forecasting resources and short and long-term needs. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide support for various AD HOC projects and requests, be comfortable learning new tools and navigating in a changing environment.
Your role:Create short and medium-term inbound and outbound projections and reports using historical and supply chain data;
Create labor and site utilization forecasts by analyzing historical data and sales forecasts. Forecast labor requirements;
Collaborate with the Operations team to effectively maximize delivery site capacity by providing inbound and outbound forecasts, as well as analyzing stock levels and/or external storage requirements;
Analyze forecast accuracy to provide feedback on errors and inaccuracies;
Produce weekly, regional and consolidated operational performance indicators;
Create ad hoc reports;
Collaborate with Continuous Improvement, Transportation, Finance, Sales, Procurement and Projects by providing and analyzing data to support the integration of improvement opportunities;
Uncover and recommend opportunities for improvement through analysis and problem solving.
2 to 4 years' experience in a supply chain analyst role;
Post-secondary education in supply chain management or business, or equivalent experience;
Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) (an asset)
Experience with SQL Server (an asset);
Advanced knowledge of software applications, including Excel (mandatory) and Access (an asset);
Experience in managing inventory and performance indicators in a distribution environment;
Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills for identifying and creatively solving complex problems;
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail;
Strong emphasis on customer service and collaboration;
