Our expectations
The Merchandising Business Analyst’s mandate is to act as a business partner to the Merchandising team, providing expertise and guidance in monitoring the results of merchandising activities, action plans, forecasts, and strategic plans to help achieve financial objectives, leveraging leading business and technology practices.
The incumbent will leverage advanced analytics and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify opportunities, and translate them to actionable outputs.
Your role
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives or special projects and monitor results.
- Participate in the design and development of tools to capture business inputs, automate standard tasks, and provide an integrated view of performance, to improve understanding of financial performance and operational execution
- Support and guide the Category Manager in decision-making and in the use of the tools developed
- Analyze sales data and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement and propose recommendations.
- Maintain and improve reporting models and tools to respond to business changes.
- Partner with the Learning and Development team to develop and deliver training for stakeholders to support rollout when needed
The qualifications we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Work experience in retail and product merchandising
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
- Excellent Excel and PowerBI skills
- Knowledge of VBA, SQL and PowerQuery an asset
- Ability to consolidate, analyze and communicate complex data effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization and across functions
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to operate in ambiguity
- Our Hybrid Workplace Policy establishes that associates need to have a reliable transportation to and from our corporate head office located in Boucherville (Quebec), to come to the office on a regular basis.
- We require all our head office associates to be proficient in French, spoken and written.
