Our expectations

The Territory Director, Pro Outside Sales is responsible for participating in the development of strategies for his market segment and their implementation, working closely with regional retail leaders, professional units and entrepreneurs, as well as marketing and sales teams. Responsibility for driving a significant portion of the Company’s overall PRO revenue within the designated Territory.

Your role
  • Responsible for a portfolio of TOP 10 Large Volume Customers for their market (VIP)

  • Responsible for profitable Top line sales growth and overall customer satisfaction (incl. Customers escalation/complaint resolution) for the Territory deserved.

  • Plan, coach and support sales plans for Individual and Team (average of 12 to 16 employees under your management) along with performance management (Coaching, 1:1, Performance Improvement Plans)

  • Contribute to the development of team members' talents;

  • Actively seeking new Market development opportunities

  • Be accountable for the governance of managed account portfolios: regularly ensuring that the representant are having direct cause and affect on the customer’s in their portfolio (aka their “Go To” person)

  • Fosters effective working relationships with the stores and key support functions (Pro Sales Support, Pricing, DDC, Supply Chain, Merchandising/Marketing, Store/District Manager)

  • Weekly Customer Site Visits

  • Recruitment and Training for new team members

  • Could participate on different development projects

  • Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals.

  • Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices, deadlines and continuing expectations.

  • Ensures company brand materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards.

The qualifications we are looking for
  • Bachelor degree in business (administration or marketing) or relevant experience directly related to the role

  • At least 5 years of successful sales and business leadership with a track record of achievement.

  • Relevant experience in the construction and renovation industry, especially with contractors.

  • Good knowledge of products related to the construction and renovation market (asset)

  • Experience working in a collaborative management structure and excellent team spirit. Harmony and respect within the management team is essential.

  • A background of financial and P&L knowledge and skills that allows for a general management approach to developing sales strategy and negotiating transactions that benefit the division (i.e. business acumen).

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with other functional managers within a large organization.

  • Be available to travel by car and sometimes by plane, depending on the territory to be covered
