Be a pillar of operational excellence! As a dispatcher, you’ll play a key role in optimizing delivery efficiency, balancing customer needs with RONA operational standards.

Your role:
  • Schedule delivery requests per company policies and specific customer needs to enhance efficiency
  • Review shipping notes to identify and correct errors (e.g., street names, duplicates, SKUs)
  • Optimize delivery routes to maximize vehicle capacity and reduce travel time and distance
  • Assign vehicles and drivers to routes while ensuring proper management of specialty products
  • Conduct daily checks to ensure all next-day orders are planned and ready
  • Communicate staffing and equipment requirements to manager and handle daily operations (calls, emails)
  • Coordinate with dispatch to address requests, maintain driver logs, and resolve issues in real time

What we're looking for:
  • Experience in logistics scheduling and coordination, with experience in logistics scheduling, factoring in delivery constraints, traffic, and vehicle specifics
  • Understanding of building materials and related products, as well as inventory levels
  • Leadership skills, with a talent for motivating, delegating and communicating effectively
  • Keen attention to detail and quick adaptability to the unexpected
