Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing, the Manager, Art Direction will play a key role in establishing a creative vision for the RONA brand ; one that is unique, consistent, and differentiating across the entire consumer journey. The Manager, Art Direction will collaborate daily with the Manager, Studio, who is responsible for managing the in-house studio team.
The Role
Act as the RONA brand design authority
Co-lead a team of 6 designers - print and digital
Oversee the creative design execution of all elements related to the RONA brand, its sub-brands, and various programs across all channels (display, website, email, etc.)
Foster a strong creative culture and high quality standards in internal teams
Collaborate with internal teams in marketing, online experience, consumer experience, store design, private labels, etc. to define and deliver the best brand experience across the consumer journey
Lead major branding and graphic design projects in collaboration with our partner agencies
Act as a subject matter expert for design team members and provide training on new tools, technologies, and best practices
Support the Manager, Studio with process optimization and project assignment
Competencies Needed
At least 10 years of experience in art direction, with experience in digital and print design
At least 3 years of experience managing a team
Strong UX and UI design skills
Solution-driven leadership, with exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills
Autonomy and ability to multitask
Ability to work under pressure
Experience in retail (an asset)
Proficiency in Jira and the MacOS environment
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe CC, html5
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, Outlook
