Our expectations

Under the supervision of the Private Brand Manager, the specialist is responsible for supporting all activities related to the research, design, monitoring, development and outreach of private label products. He works closely with several internal departments and designated suppliers to coordinate these activities and ensure that they run smoothly.

The role
  • Collaborate with the Private Brand Manager to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the private label portfolio.
  • Participate, together with designated teams and suppliers, in driving design, innovation and product development that meet brand standards, quality requirements and market demands.
  • Participate in meetings with suppliers to discuss new and existing product issues and for product line revisions
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure product development aligns with expected requirements.
  • Conduct research and gather key information, data, and product proposals that support SEO and strategic placement of private label products across various categories.
  • Monitor current trends and styles in interior design and home product design.
  • Create reports illustrating upcoming trends and information about competitive products.
  • Assist in the design of seasonal collections and illustrate design requirements for product development, based on trend analysis and other data.
  • Work on product optimization with the various collaborators, to ensure that they align with cost and quality requirements.
  • Produce technical documents for sampling or production.
  • Assist in the analysis, selection and evaluation of samples to ensure that they meet established design standards.
  • Carry out evaluation reports of product samples received for correction or modification.
  • Conduct and document store visits for competitive analysis.
  • Conduct continuous analysis of the competitive landscape, consumer trends, and market opportunities,
  • Monitor product performance across all sales channels, tracking key metrics such as sales, margins, customer satisfaction, and brand value.
  • Analyze market data, customer feedback and competitor activity to improve product strategy, optimize brand positioning and adapt offers to remain competitive.
  • Assist in the improvement of the assortment to achieve a level of performance and consumer engagement.
  • Work closely with marketing to ensure that product messaging, promotional campaigns, and digital content align with brand identity and goals.
  • Collaborate with the various teams to ensure the successful execution of private label products in-store, optimizing product visibility, the achievement of sales objectives and the customer experience.

The skills we are looking for
  • Degree in fashion marketing, industrial design with experience in project monitoring, or any other relevant training with proven experience in the role.universitaire
  • At least 4 years of experience in the field/role
  • Experience in design and development of products for the home an asset.
  • Experience in researching, ideating, and developing large-scale manufactured products an asset.
  • Strong interest in renovation, design, interior decoration.
  • Knowledge of the field of residential renovation and amateur renovation (an asset)
  • Good eye, aesthetic sensitivity, creativity and sense of innovation
  • Experience in retail (an asset)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, in French and English
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluency and great ability to work in a team
  • Ability to connect and interact with all levels of management in the organization
  • Excellent time and priority management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in the following applications: Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Power BI.
