The Richmond School District is currently seeking a part time Secondary Technology Education teacher Semester 2.

This position consists of 3 multi-grade blocks of Tech Ed which includes Auto, Woodworking, Robotics, Power Mechanics, CADD, Metal Art. The specific grades and levels to be determined in consultation with Department members.

The students in all classes at McNair will range from those who are highly skilled in a curricular area to those with limited English language exposure and awareness. A demonstrated ability to engage with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds and with a wide variety of learning needs and styles is required. Recent work experience must reflect a commitment to collaboration and teamwork and a willingness to work closely with other colleagues in a professional and supportive environment.

The successful candidate must have current academic and professional preparation as well as teaching experience with qualifications to teach a variety of areas in Tech Education including Automotive. The successful applicant must possess a willingness to take on the challenges of this posting and a demonstrated commitment to implementing all aspects of BC Curriculum - Core Competencies, Classroom Assessment. A demonstrated ability to build rapport and engage students from diverse backgrounds with a wide variety of learning needs and styles is required.
