The Burnaby School District is on the traditional territory of the Coast Salish Nations of Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish.
The Burnaby School District is the fourth largest in BC. The District operates 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools, including a range of district and provincial resource programs. The District supports and provides learning to 25,000 Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K-12) students and to more than 6,000 adult learners through our established Burnaby Community & Continuing Education program. With more than 100 languages spoken in the homes of its students, the District is one of the most culturally diverse in Canada.

Burnaby School District invites applications from qualified teachers for this Full time (1.0) Late French Immersion Teacher position.
Required Qualifications:
Valid BC Teaching Certificate
Bachelor of Education degree or academic equivalent
Demonstrated fluency and facility (both oral and written) in French and English
French Immersion methodology course
Major program concentration in the relevant area of primary or intermediate education including primary or intermediate methodology courses
Knowledge of a broad range of effective instructional strategies in order to meet the diverse needs of all students
Knowledge of consultative and collaborative strategies
Practicum reports and/or teacher evaluations (if available)
Successful completion of Criminal Records Search as carried out through the Ministry of Education Teachers’ Regulation Branch
