Contract Type: Part-time Temporary (0.60 FTE)
Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this part-time teaching position ranges from $38,014 to $67,407, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.

posting.
Job Summary:
Learning Services Teacher - Grades K-12
0.60 FTE temporary contract, starting February 26, 2025 or upon completion of the posting process to June 27, 2025, or return of the incumbent.
Must have a degree/diploma or certification in Learning Support and experience with online/distance teaching. It would be considered an asset to have teaching experience with online learning and the Brightspace platform.
This position will have a home base of Kootenay Discovery School in the community of Fernie. This is a distance learning school. Please note that all work will be on site.
Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
