DISTRICT ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNER (ELL) ITINERANT TEACHER
There are two positions available.
1.0 Continuing full-time English Language Learner (ELL) Itinerant teacher and other duties as assigned, beginning September 1, 2025.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), TEFL or CELTA certificate.
· Experience teaching elementary and secondary children.
· Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate.
· Driver's license and willingness to travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience and willingness to work as part of the Social Emotional Learning Team and/or school-based administration in creating, implementing, and supporting District Initiatives around the needs of students, families, staff, and community.·
· Experience and commitment to working with School-Based Teams and families, including after-hours meetings.
· Proven commitment and experience in supporting complex students and families.
· Proven commitment to Truth and Reconciliation and working collaboratively to support Indigenous students and families.
· Proven ability to develop, implement, and track progress for learners and a proven track record of exceptional file organization.
· Experience in co-teaching and providing in-class support to teachers to integrate ELL strategies.
· Experience in collaborating with other agencies and partners.
· Proven ability and commitment to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community.

The starting annual salary for this full-time teacher position ranges from $60,090 - $109,520 , with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
