Position Title: Business Systems Analyst - Expert

Line of Business: Global Markets Technology - Regulatory reporting for Capital Markets -OTC transaction reporting

Contract Duration: 6 months

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid - Every Thurs and 4th Friday of every month

Responsibilities:

The bank's Capital Markets Technology Regulatory Reporting Services (RRS) which concentrates on regulatory reporting across jurisdictions worldwide, including CFTC, SEC, CSA, CIRO/IIROC, MIFID, HKMA, MAS, ASIC, LOPR & LTR. As a Business Systems Analyst - Expert, you will be expected to assess and develop user stories and bug fixes for the RRS backlog as well as communicate to our partners your root cause analysis and recommendations for remediation. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and set up flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

· Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

· Solution design - Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

· Leading and mentoring - Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

7+ years working as a BSA/BA, preferably within the Financial Services industry (ideally Capital Markets) with an emphasis on Regulatory Reporting. You are proficient with SQL/Database queries and have previously supported Agile/Scrum based projects. Ideally, you have excellent documentation skills, a collaborative mindset, the flexibility to jump in to support testing as needed and thrive in a fast-paced environment. It's an asset if: You have practical experience with Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, and/or supporting a Capital Markets client group. Also an asset if you have experience with Azure DevOps, Jira/Confluence, Elasticsearch, and Tableau.

Must haves:

1. 7+ years of experience within the regulatory space - OTC transaction reporting, and the regulations are: CFTC, SEC, CSA, CIRO/IIROC, MIFID, HKMA, MAS, ASIC, LOPR, LTR

2. SQL/Excel -Data manipulation

3. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum

4. Previous Capital Markets FI experience
