For ALM & Release specialist role, we are looking for an onshore member as well, however as they are expected to perform production deployments and release management activities as part of their role which is typically expected in the night times (less business engagement on our applications), the candidate must be able to commit to working during the night time 10 PM - 7 AM EST (and obviously take the daytime off) for 3 - 4 days in a month.
Reporting to the Director of Product Development, your role as Dynamics 365 ALM and Release Specialist is key to our success to meet our goals of enhancing our Total Mental Health product and growing it internationally.
Responsibilities:
- ALM Planning and Implementation: Design, implement, and manage Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform projects, including version control, build automation, and deployment pipelines.
- Release Management: Lead the release process for Dynamics 365 solutions and Power Platform applications, ensuring timely and high-quality deployments across environments.
- Solution Management: Collaborate with development teams to package and deploy solutions while maintaining solution layering and dependency tracking.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Power Platform Build Tools.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with organizational standards, data security policies, and Power Platform governance best practices.
- Automation and Scripting: Create scripts and automated workflows for tasks like solution export/import, environment resets, and backup processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor deployments and application performance post-release, implementing corrective measures for issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to align ALM strategies with business goals.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for ALM processes, release notes, and operational guides.
- Training and Best Practices: Champion and educate team members on ALM tools, practices, and governance policies, promoting a culture of quality and accountability.
MUST HAVES:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement modules and Power Platform.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of ALM processes, including version control, build/deployment automation in high-scale enterprise environments.
- CI/CD Skills: Extensive hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and Power Platform Build Tools to deploy Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure services.
- Release Management: Proven experience with planning and managing releases for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions with large teams.
- Analytical & Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze and solve complex deployment and release challenges proactively.
- Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in managing solution components and deployment processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Strong team player with a passion for mentoring and supporting colleagues in ALM best practices.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
