Our valued professional services client is looking for an Intermediate Data Migration Analyst to analyze & migrate Oracle-based legacy EAM data (Maximo) to a new custom data management platform!


Initial 4-month contract in Toronto, ON. 37.5 hours per week. Candidates with the ability to work hybrid on-site 2 days per week will be prioritized however 100% remote options will be considered.


As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for you will be responsible for analyzing legacy Oracle data (from IBM Maximo), profiling master data, and executing a structured, file-based migration to a new custom data management platform, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the process. This work will be performed for an end client in the transportation industry.


Responsibilities

  • Migrate legacy data (Asset management system, ERP, document management and other systems) to a new, custom-built asset management system & Oracle Fusion ERP
  • Write SQL queries to extract, profile, and assess the quality and structure of existing master data
  • Map legacy data to a new custom-built data management platform based on defined templates and structures.
  • Perform file-based data extraction and migration (e.g., working with CSVs and flat files)
  • Identify data quality issues and recommend improvements to support clean, successful migration.
  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and validate migration outcomes
  • Conduct Data Migration workshop to define Data Migration Plan and Specification
  • Create data migration specification Document
  • Document data mappings, migration processes, and any anomalies or challenges encountered.
  • Develop reports for Asset Management team using SAP BO or Power BI
  • Promote Data to UAT environment


Must-Have Skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with data analysis and/or data migration projects.
  • Experience developing reports using SAP BO and/or Power BI.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Oracle Fusion ERP
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and profiling data within Oracle databases.
  • Solid understanding of master data management (MDM) concepts.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience working with IBM Maximo or other legacy EAM systems.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud environments and data storage solutions.
  • Exposure to cloud migration projects, particularly involving data governance and data strategy.
  • Transportation or public sector industry experience.
