Our client is a leader in the Digital Hospitality and Food Services space. They are looking for an IT Systems Administrator (Windows/Exchange) to support major system development and administration and provide technical support with Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Exchange and PowerShell.

Duration: 6 Months, high chance of extension or conversion

Location: Remote, within Toronto/London area (Available to work after-hours during maintenance windows and when emergency support is needed. Must be willing to travel (approximately 10%) and able to safely lift, up to 23kg, regularly.)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure IT Infrastructure and operating systems are functioning efficiently and effectively; responsible for major system development and implementation to daily network administration and technical support - providing technical advice and support to over 3,000 operating units and offices across Canada.
• Prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a challenging and fast-paced work environment.
• Responsible for installing, supporting, and maintaining IT Systems.
• Implement and support a wide variety of IT systems across Canada and the US.
• Perform end of lease server replacements, including staging hardware, installing site specific applications, and coordinating cutovers while minimizing downtime for the business.
• Plan, communicate, and document system changes.
• Ensure Company standards and industry best practices are followed and improved.
• Function as a Tier 2 escalation point, provide IT support for the in-house and remote users across Canada.
• Record, track, and document the request/problem-solving process and actions taken.
• Review actionable environment alerts to maintain existing infrastructure.
• Engage in team efforts for server OS upgrades, vulnerability management, application upgrades/brand new builds.

Must Haves:

• 3+ Years of Systems Administrator experience
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
• MS Exchange, MS IIS 7.5 and 8.5, and Office 365
• Active Directory administration (GPOs, understanding of replication, etc.)
• PowerShell - Strong Scripting
• VMware ESXi/vSphere and Hyper-V
• System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)

• AWS & Azure Cloud
• CommVault Simpana or similar Enterprise Backup/Recovery Systems
