Description
Junior Business Systems Analyst/ Project Manager to onboard a small business portfolio onto a framework for model execution with one of our major banking clients- 36975
Location Address: Hybrid/Toronto- 2 days on site (Thursday mandatory day, # of days on site subject to change)
Contract Duration: ASAP to 10/31/2025 (High Chance of Extension)
Schedule Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs per week
Story Behind the Need
- Business group: The Risk Modeling Technology team supports various stakeholders Global Risk Management (GRM) - Risk Models and Analytics Team, Regulatory Capital, IFRS9 provisioning & Enterprise stress Testing team in the implementation of regulatory and non-regulatory initiatives, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall approaches.

Typical day in role:
- Ensuring that the project and deliverables are on track with timelines
- Understand the SDLC and go into the code (Python) to understand issues at hand and translating technical requirements to business stakeholders
- Raising issues to proper channels and removing roadblocks when issues are encountered
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and contributing to the success of the overall team by assisting and supporting the project manager
- Develop and maintain project plans & consolidate individual project plans into a program-level integrated plan
- Produce thorough key milestone tracking charts and high-level timelines
- Communicating with The Risk Modeling Technology team
- Supporting project manager in weekly call with the corresponding modelling teams and technology team
- Working collaboratively with project team, participating, and leading scrum meetings
- Assisting in follow-up of out‐standing deliverables, issues, risks, and action items
- Supporting with execution/closing activities
- Demonstrating and promoting best practices in project management and schedule management
Must Have Skills:
- 4+ years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst with progression into project management roles
- This resource will be acting in the capacity of a BA/PCO/junior PM
- Recent project experience reading and understanding Python
- Experience in project management practices/methodologies (Agile and Iterative Waterfall), from conception to delivery on a technology team
- Strong aptitude with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience using collaboration tools JIRA and Confluence
- Experience using SQL
- Experience using MS Project
- Prior Banking experience
Best vs Average: Seeking a resource with the right mix of project management (eg PCO or similar) and BA experience. In addition, demonstrated ability to understand Python and write SQL queries would set a resource apart. All applicants should have experience working with a technology team.
Degrees or certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- PMP certification is an asset
