S.i. Systems enterprise public health provider has 4 active hospital redevelopment projects ongoing and planned for next 5+ years. They are seeking to partner with a smaller group of agencies to provide resources on demand when specific roles come up.

There no open jobs at present. We are presenting samples resumes to them to become a qualified partner.

ROLES:
Senior Infrastructure Project Manager
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
  • five (5) years IT infrastructure project delivery experience in areas such as servers, storage, data networks, IP telephony (VoIP / PBX), wireless networks, and workstation / output device installs and moves, as well as implementing the IT infrastructure components (e.g. data / voice / wireless networks / cabling) for construction projects (new builds and renovations).

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
  • Healthcare experience
  • , PHSA-TS (PHSA Tech Services - any infra PM from PHSA basically)
  • Telecommunication Providers (Telus, Shaw, Rogers etc.), hardware vendors/suppliers, building architects and engineers, and construction projects.

Key activities:
  • Manage the end?to?end project request in?take process for Health Authority IT infrastructure project requests.
  • Develop IT infrastructure project proposals, working with PHSA Solution Architects to capture the project requirements and dependencies from Health Authority clients and third party suppliers.
  • Implement IT infrastructure components (e.g. data / voice / wireless networks / cabling for new facilities and renovations to existing facilities.

Senior Infrastructure Project Lead

Key activities - like the PM but they have a narrower scope and report up to the PM
  • Manage the end?to?end project request in?take process for Health Authority IT infrastructure project requests.
  • Develop IT infrastructure project proposals, working with PHSA Solution Architects to capture the project requirements and dependencies from Health Authority clients and third party suppliers.
  • Implement IT infrastructure components (e.g. data / voice / wireless networks / cabling for new facilities and renovations to existing facilities.


Intermediate Technical Project Coordinator
Must have skills:
  • 5+ years coord experience on infrastructure projects in healthcare environment


Key activities:
  • Reports to Infrastructure Lead or the Infrastructure PM
  • Perform technical coordination for multiple concurrent projects, providing technical direction to the assigned technical resources including such activities as scheduling of server builds and migrations.
  • Interface externally with clients and third party Service Providers to confirm and develop the detailed technical design for the assigned projects.
  • Interface with the PHSA operations teams to operationalize the project deliverables.
  • Develop project work packets for assignment to the technical resources; track technical activities and work packet status; initiate all required production change requests for the project; answer questions form the project technical resources on the technical design / solution.
  • Ensure all project technical activities have been completed according to the agreed upon project schedule; perform quality assurance and testing verification reviews on the completed work packets and deliverables; complete project turnover / technical close?out documentation.
  • Provide weekly updates to the PHSA Project Manager, including the identification of any issues / risks; attend client project meetings, as required; attend weekly internal project status meetings.


Senior IT Technical Solution Architect
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
  • 10+ years experience in planning, designing, configuring IT solutions technical solutions for Solution Architects and/or Application Owner Teams and/or IMIT Vendors (construction firms, Telecom providers, etc)


JOB DUTIES:
  • IT Technical Solution Architects have working knowledge and experience in preparing technical solutions designs that is handed to IT delivery teams to procure, configure, test and merge into operations.
  • On capital facility projects, IMIT follows a technical intake process to review and evaluate every Builder or FHA supplied application, equipment type (medical/building), and technology that resides on or connects to FHA’s IT technical environment.
  • These IMIT professionals oversee this entire process while working directly with Builder, technology and equipment vendors, DPPE and PHSA-TS.
  • Core deliverables include the Technical Solution Design and IT Production Turnover documentation.
  • ensuring the other related deliverables are completed including Software Assessment Form, Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), Security Threat Risk Assessment (STRA), Core Security Requirements (CSR)


Senior Security Consultant
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
10+ years experience in Healthcare
Or
CISSP

JOB DUTIES:
  • Technical Information Security Consultants have working knowledge and experience in completing technical security and privacy assessments.
  • On capital facility projects, IMIT follows a technical intake process to review and evaluate every Builder or FHA supplied application, equipment type (medical/building), and technology that resides on or connects to FHA’s IT technical environment.
  • Central to this assessment expertise is the ability to deliver Core Security Requirements (CSR) / Security, Threats, Risks Assessment (STRA) documents including recommendations, mitigations and go forward strategies and working plans.




Senior Privacy Analyst: Privacy Consultant
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
  • 10+ years work experience in public sector Privacy Office roles
  • Or
  • Certified International Privacy Professional - Canada (CIPP/C) certification

JOB DUTIES:
  • Privacy Consultants have working knowledge and experience in completing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).

Senior Network Technical Analyst: Data Distribution Specialist
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
  • 12 years of direct experience in the design/construction of these elements.
  • or
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) designation


JOB DUTIES:
  • Data Distribution Specialists have working knowledge and experience in the design, specification, and construction of the physical data distribution elements required in a new building.
  • These physical elements include communication rooms (including power and cooling components), pathway tray and conduit systems, fiber optic, copper, coaxial, low voltage cabling for networks, servers, WiFi, distributed antenna systems, multimedia networks, medical equipment networks and building system networks.
  • work directly with architects and engineers.
  • They are knowledgeable and capable of assessing or commenting on designs from the perspective of practical construction.
  • Likewise they are capable of assessing and commenting on Builder designs and data distribution construction from the Owners requirements perspective and the Owner’s ability to maintain, add, delete, change in the future.
  • These professionals are proficient at reviewing sketches/CAD drawings from engineers and architects, and can prepare sketches and CAD drawings to aid designs and specifications. They are experts in the PHSA-TS Communications Standards and Guidelines.


Senior Technical Specialists
Technical Specialists focus on technical design, testing, troubleshooting, connectivity and configuration of IT data and voice networks needed to support healthcare applications and services. They also provide expertise on computer security and back up equipment. These IMIT professionals interact directly with Builder teams, PHSA-TS, FHA DPPE technical and application groups.

Senior Network Administrator:
  • Administering Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs) and peripheral equipment, evaluating / certifying / installing new network gear / firmware / software, managing IP schema, configure network edge, network core, WIFI from vendors like CISCO, HPE and Arista

Senior Server administrator:
  • Configuring, optimizing, and maintaining business and/or clinical application servers, system resource allocation, virtualization and storage planning, and service performance, Microsoft Active Directory, Group policy, account setup. Installing and upgrading server components and software, managing servers, and integrating automation processes, deploy and manage Windows Server clustering, Hyper-V virtualization, performance monitoring, backups, and replication for HPE Synergy and HPE SimpliVity technologies.
  • Same for windows Server, Windows applications, con?guration, management, and maintenance as well as Linux servers, Linux applications, con?guration, management, and maintenance.
  • Configuring files systems including RAID, ZFS RAID pools, BTRFS RAID pools, MDADM & Windows software RAID, File system, BIOS, and hardware encryption technologies for data at rest encryption.

Senior Storage administrator:
  • Maintaining SAN and NAS systems and con?guring iSCSI connectivity, data backups and restores, monitoring regular backup operations, test recovery infrastructure, and verifying backup data integrity.

Senior Database administrator:
  • Maintaining relational and non-relational databases and knowledge of database coding for various platforms (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server and Clusters), designing / implementing database structures and automating DBA tasks, data modeling and schema design, installing database system software.

Senior Security administrator:
  • Network administering firewalls, load balancers, routers and switches, certi?cates, certi?cate authorities, encryption protocols, key types, and OpenSSL, ?rewalls, VPNs, WANs, MPLS, and routing policies, SSH, RDP, X2GO, VNC, SFTP, SMB, AFP, and NFS, security technologies (IPSec/SSL VPN's, IDS/IPS, UTM, WAF), F5 LTM / GTM / ASM.

Senior Data center administrator:
  • Server rack mounting, powering up equipment, patch cabling, network connections, and labelling, Data Centre best practices, monitoring environmental conditions through DCIM reporting / alerts and coordinating incidents.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:
IMIT Capital Projects engages in and supports all major hospital development projects at FHA (Capital Facilities Projects). Several are currently in progress. This journey of progress and investment currently totals over $6.5 billion across the region. These investments include:
  • Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) Redevelopment; a multi-phase project for the redevelopment of the entire RCH campus. Currently in Phase 2, and projected to continue through 2030 for all planned work.
  • Burnaby Hospital (BH) Redevelopment; a multi-phase project for the redevelopment of the entire BH campus. Currently with Phase 1 in construction with expected completion in 2025 and Phase 2 in final procurement and projected to continue to 2030.
  • New Surrey Hospital and Cancer Centre (NSHCC) hospital development; a single-phase hospital construction project. Projected to be completed in 2030.
  • A new acute care tower at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH); the construction of an additional acute care tower on the existing SMH campus. This has recently been announced; early planning underway.
