PowerBI Developer for SSRS reports and dashboards integrating D365 data

Our large energy client is seeking a PowerBI Developer for reports and dashboards integrating D365 data to start ASAP for an 8 month contract.

Candidate must be located in/near Calgary willing to come into the office 5 days/week

Must-have:

• PowerBI report development experience
• SSRS report development
• Financial/SCM ERP module experience
• Industry Experience: Retail, Wholesale, Dispatch/Trucking, Pricing, Promotions, AR/AP, Reconciliation, Procurement, Inventory Mgmt
• Experience executing with in Agile/Scrum framework

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with D365 modules Financials & Operations (X++), SCM

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards integrating D365 F&O data, with focus on Financial (General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable), Product (Inventory, Bill of Materials), and Customer (Sales, CRM) modules, prioritizing the use of out-of-box D365 reports and analytical workspaces
• Evaluate and maximize utilization of standard D365 F&O analytical capabilities and pre-built Power BI reports before initiating custom development, ensuring optimal use of Microsoft standard solutions
• Build and maintain data models utilizing D365 F&O entities, including complex DAX calculations and measures for financial reporting and inventory analysis only where standard reporting capabilities cannot meet business requirements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate financial and operational requirements into meaningful visualizations, ensuring alignment with D365 F&O business processes and identifying opportunities to leverage existing reports
• Implement row-level security and maintain documentation for data lineage, focusing on financial data governance and compliance requirements when working with D365 F&O data, including documentation of decisions to use custom development over standard solutions
