Senior Banking Data Analyst responsible for the generation and creation of management reporting for regulatory needs

Position Title: Data Analyst

Developing analytical reports using Power BI and Excel for the Compliance Management Team with visualization charts, tables, slicers, and drill-through options using Power BI, SharePoint, Oracle DB, and Salesforce which helps to analyze the Client Care Compliance, conflict in regulatory policies, and govern the executive team with findings. And monitoring the compliance and advising the portfolio management without conflicting Global Banking Governance Policies(i.e., FCAC).

The role will have a combination of prescribed daily/weekly tasks, and some ad hoc duties

• Support the generation of reporting and data insights for the enterprise complaint handling framework
• Activities will include data acquisition, validation and assembly for regulatory quarterly submissions.
• Supports the production of insights and data visualizations as inputs for annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly reporting obligations
• Identify and resolve data integrity problems
• Data mining to identify emerging or trending issues
• Support of ad hoc data analysis
• Perform detailed month end file review and ensure internal standards and procedures are adhered to.
• Provide recommendations on how to improve efficiency.
• Provide initial analysis and interpretation of monthly performance measurement reports.

COMPLEXITY/VARIETY:

The position requires methodical problem solving skills, critical thinking and data-driven analytical skills sets. Comfort with Excel, Access or SQL, Specific Tableau and/or Power BI experience is desired. Ability to multi-task.

The position is required to identify both opportunities/requirements and develop solutions/courses of action where there may be no precedent internally and little externally. Due to the non-recurring and analytical nature of activities, a high level of constructive thought will be necessary.

MUST HAVES:

• University degree in engineering, mathematics or related fields leveraging advanced statistical and analytical research methods.
• 5-8 years experience in business environment (operations, finance, accounting, engineering)
• Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
• Knowledge of Excel, Access or SQL, Tableau and/or Power BI
