Description
S.i. Systems public sector client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to analyze organizational and business unit needs, elicit information, document, manage requirements, and translate requirements for solution teams
6 month contract to start. 5 days/ week onsite in Surrey, BC.
Must Haves:
- 7+ years' as a Business Analyst
- Strong experience with stakeholder analysis, and process modeling skills
Typical Duties:
Completes complex and integrated process modelling, multiple integrated business processes / cross functional / cross section, business requirements elicitation, business casing and feasibility analysis.
• Works closely with representatives from all levels of the organization to develop and plan business strategies.
• Acts as a liaison between business users and the solution teams.
• Analyzes and designs complex integrated processes.
• Leads and creates clear, accurate and well-crafted requirements and workflow documentation, including business and functional decisions, current and future state processes, user cases, user stories and business process re-engineering based on best practices.
• Provides business impact assessments and prepares documented deliverables.
• Works with business units and IT to assess and define design solution and alternatives, communicate proposed recommendations, obtain consensus from all stakeholders, resolve conflict, and arrive at common solutions.
• Possesses a broad understanding of business operations and in depth understanding of assigned business streams.
• Provides detailed analyses of end-to-end business processes (current and future state), process definition, business process and business workflow mapping.
• Defines constraints, issues, risks, dependencies, and what-if scenarios.
• Provides cost-benefit analyses for proposed changes to assist management.
• Leads and facilitates business interviews and documents detailed summaries of meeting outcomes including action items, and issues.
• Elicits functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Uses critical thinking techniques to consider the business implications of applying technology to clients’ current business environment through research and fact finding combined with an understanding of applicable business and industry requirements.
• Supervises junior team members and helps them resolve problems.
• Assists junior team members to choose the best option between different or conflicting approaches.
• Assists other staff in performing their duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
