Senior Cyber Security specialist to assist with a Cyber and IT Security Strategic Renewal Program within the Public Sector

Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Cyber Security specialist to assist with a Cyber and IT Security Strategic Renewal Program within the Public Sector.

This program is aiming to reinforce existing cybersecurity posture and assist with growing and maturing functions across baselines security controls.

Must haves:

• 10+ years as a Cyber Security specialist
• Degree or Diploma related to computer science, IT, or engineering
• Valid certification in CISM, CISSP, or CCSP or equivalent
• Valid enhanced reliability clearance

Tasks:

• Conduct interviews to research and gather requirements to expand visibility into systems
• Develop a Security Log Management Strategy & Plan
• Solicit and engage client for feedback on all artefacts
• Develop an implementation plan & schedule for the ingestion of new security logs
• In addition to providing hands-on assistance, lead working group discussions to track and facilitate progress on implementation activities
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members
• Ensure that documentation is accessible to relevant parties
• Report on status of implementation plan and its deliverables to Project Authority weekly
• Design and deliver quarterly incident simulation exercises
• Present findings and provide analyses of the simulation exercises
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members on incident response
• Report on status of simulation activities to Project Authority weekly
