Our valued Public Sector Client is looking for a Senior IT Security Vulnerability Analysis Specialist to help modernize their capability in Cyber Security.

This team of contractors will be helping defend networks in support of deployments. The team of contractors will be responsible for detecting, analyzing and responding to critical network or host-based incidents on Government Networks. They will provide services across Cyber Mission Assurance, Digital Forensics and Incident Response.

Responsibilities:
  • Review, analyze, and/or apply:
  1. Threat agents analysis tools and other emerging technologies including privacy enhancement, predictive analysis, VoIP, data visualization and fusion, wireless security devices, PBX and telephony firewall
  2. War dialers, password crackers
  3. Public Domain IT vulnerability advisory services
  4. Network scanners and vulnerability analysis tools such as SATAN, ISS, Portscan and NMap
  5. Networking Protocols (HTTP, FTP, Telnet)
  6. Internet security protocols such as SSL, S-HTTP, S-MIME, IPSec, SSH, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP
  7. Wireless Security
  8. Intrusion detection systems, firewalls and content checkers
  9. Host and network intrusion detection and prevention systems - Anti-virus management
  • Identify threats to, and technical vulnerabilities of, networks;
  • Conduct on-site reviews and analysis of system security logs;
  • Collect, collate, analyze and disseminate public domain information related to networked computer threats and vulnerabilities, security incidents and incident responses;
  • Prepare and/or deliver IT Security threat, vulnerability and/or risk briefings;
  • Completed tasks directly supporting the departmental IT Security and Cyber Protection Program
  • Develop and deliver training material relevant to the resource category.
Must Haves:
  • Secret Clearance
  • Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering field.
  • 10+years as a IT Security Vulnerability Specialist
  • 10+ years employing Cyber Security concepts.
  • 10+ years utilizing Security Tools such as Portscan and NMap.
  • Worked on 3 projects in the last 5 years identifying IT Security Vulnerabilities.
  • Worked on 3 projects in the last 5 years conducting on-site reviews and analysis of System Security.
