Description
Our client has an immediate requirement for a Senior Data Engineer with DataOps experience to develop and operationalize data management practices and bring data into a data hub.
12 month assignment
Must Have:
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Experience with Databricks
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data integration tools
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services
- Experience in DataOps practices and tooling
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques such as power BI is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from various sources into the Data Hub
- Design and implement data models to support analytics and reporting needs
- Perform data transformations to ensure data quality and consistency
- Implement best practices for data management in the data lifecycle including data governance, security, and compliance
- Support subject matter experts in other teams in using data and data tools
