Senior DevOps Developer (5+ years) to create, enhance and maintain a DevOps environment and support other IT product teams by building pipelines and operat

• Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps Developer (5+ years) to provision and manage infrastructure (AWS) utilizing infrastructure as code (CDK) in cloud native development environment in the financial services industry

(hybrid).

Responsibilities:

• Use a broad range of tools, technologies and platforms to provide developers, application administrators, and end users with the ability to perform their tasks.
• Provision and manage infrastructure, primarily in AWS, utilizing infrastructure as code (primarily CDK), automation, and collaborating with other product teams in cloud native development.
• Build, maintain, operate, and enhance the DevOps environment including source code version control, CI/CD build pipeline, custom application deployments in test and production environments, and monitoring of these resources.
• Take an iterative approach, looking for both small and large improvements we can make in our environment.
• Be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional, agile team
• Facilitate collaboration with other engineers, product owners, and designers to solve interesting and challenging problems for delivering various services.
• Mentor developers and analysts
• You’ll be a leader in creating better tools and practices, and will champion their adoption

Must Have:

• 5+ years as a DevOps Developer
• Infrastructure as Code (IaaC / IaC) in AWS using tools like Bash, Ansible, and Docker
• AWS (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, and SAM)
• Computer science degree or equivalent
• Building pipelines and operating DVCS
• Experience creating, enhancing and maintaining a DevOps environment and support other IT product teams

Nice to Have:

• Strong Linux and networking knowledge
• Knowledge of encryption, both block and stream based (e.g. TLS, AES)
• Knowledge of security best practices (e.g. least privilege)
