Senior DevOps Engineer with Splunk, Terraform and Ansible to support technology migration and transformation initiatives

Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with Splunk, Terraform and Ansible to support technology migration and transformation initiatives.

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Hybrid - 4 days/week onsite in Brampton

Project: Implementing solutions, automating processes, and ensuring the seamless operation of systems during migration and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Utilized OLAP tools (ClickHouse) to build and optimize queries and materialized views. Integrate with tools for effective dashboard building, alerting, and visualizations.
• Provide expertise in Splunk for data migrations using Splunk Query Language (SPL) to manage log-based metrics.
• Automate and manage the migration of Splunk data and indexes during transformations.
• Work with Fluentbit including agent installation, configuration, and distribution. Configure and maintain network and syslog configurations for log aggregation.
• Utilize Terraform and/or Ansible for managing infrastructure automation. Design and implement automated pipelines for consistent deployments.
• Perform system administration tasks to support migration and infrastructure management. Write and optimize scripts for automation, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Must Have Skills:

• Splunk expertise, including query creation, data migration, and building automation.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Ansible
• Scripting and System Administration (GO, Python or Java)
• Fluentbit (configuration and log aggregation) or similar tools

Nice to Haves:

• ClickHouse (OLAP - Online Analytical Processing) or similar tools
