Our valued Financial client is actively seeking a Senior JavaScript (Angular) Developer to support a client with web enhancement applications

Our Financial client is currently working through a web application modernization project from a legacy application. The client is looking for a JavaScript (Angular) / Java Developer to assist in rewriting their older code, currently in VARGP, to their new IOC landscape on GCP cloud

Initial 6-month contract with possibility of extension, working hybrid (2 days onsite) in St. John’s, NL, Toronto, ON, Montreal, QC , Laval, QC, Quebec city, QC, Saint-Hyacinthe, QC

Responsibilities:

• Be creative and come up with ideas to improve our services and user experiences.
• Provide support for a variety of projects and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript ( Angular) and Java.
• Write clean, readable, and scalable code that follows coding standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with other developers, QA, UX/UI, product owner and scrum master to deliver high-quality products and services.
• Make recommendations and participate in improving development and system maintenance processes.
• Test and debug code using unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools.

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years JavaScript ( Angular) experience.
• Experience with Java

Nice to Haves:

• Java/IBM I-Series experience would be an asset.
• 
  
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
• Usage of Confluence and Jira.
• Experience working in a cloud environment (GCP, AWS, Azure...)
• Experience in the insurance sector
