Description
Our financial client is seeking a Senior Mainframe Application Developer to support a major SAS software conversion project aimed at transitioning 186 mainframe jobs identified for a unique conversion path.
Duration: contract until Apr 2025
Location: remote across Canada
Must-Have Skills:
- SAS
- Rexx
- JCL
- COBOL
- SORT
Responsibilities:
- Analyze mainframe jobs: Conduct detailed assessments of 186 jobs that need a distinct conversion process from Splunk.
- Convert mainframe jobs: Develop and implement conversion strategies to transition the identified jobs to a new solution.
- Collaborate with teams: Work closely with other development teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and minimal disruptions to ongoing operations.
- Optimize mainframe performance: Ensure efficient and optimized mainframe operations during and after the conversion process.
