Description
Our transportation client is looking for Senior Mainframe Modernization Engineer to modernize legacy applications and migrate them to AWS Cloud for a critical transformation project.
Duration - 1year
Work mode - 100% remote
This is a hybrid position requiring expertise in both legacy mainframe technologies and modern cloud services.
Must haves:
- Micro Focus Tools & Technologies: The candidate should have a strong grasp of legacy programming languages like COBOL, PL/I, and Natural, which are often used in mainframe environments.
- In-depth understanding of mainframe technologies and environments
- AWS Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda is crucial. This indicates the role might involve migrating legacy applications to the cloud, integrating them with cloud-based solutions, or managing hybrid environments.
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate or equivalent certification.
- Strong understanding of application development life cycles, testing strategies, and deployment procedures.
