Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT projects for a Nuclear Development portfolio.

Must Have

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record in delivering IT projects from inception to completion
  • 5+ years of experience using Earned Value Management tools or techniques (CPI/SPI)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince 2 certification
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans
  • Must be able to pass a reliability background check and criminal records check


Nice to Have

  • 3+ years of experience managing projects in one or more of the following areas:
  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
  • Enterprise Content Management
  • Custom-developed web applications with user-centered design
  • Microsoft Azure infrastructure, networking, and M365 productivity tools
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile project delivery
  • Experience using Microsoft DevOps
  • Demonstrated record of continuous improvement initiatives


Description

The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within the client’s Nuclear Development portfolio. This role ensures adherence to established frameworks and standards, manages all phases of project life cycles, and oversees budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder communication. The position also supports integration management, procurement, quality assurance, and transition to operational sustainment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project governance structures, roles, and responsibilities
  • Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and risk assessments
  • Establish and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget baselines
  • Direct and manage project execution and integrated change control processes
  • Conduct regular status meetings and prepare progress and issue reports
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety and regulatory requirements
  • Manage risk planning, identification, analysis, and mitigation
  • Perform cost control and manage budgetary adjustments
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including critical path identification
  • Coordinate procurement planning, vendor selection, and contract administration
  • Oversee quality planning, assurance, and control of deliverables
  • Organize team development, staff acquisition, and resolve resource conflicts
  • Ensure successful stakeholder engagement and project communication
  • Manage transition of systems and processes to operational sustainment
