Our client is seeking Junior to Intermediate Data Scientists specialized in Computer Vision to work with control systems and operational network data to enhance predictive analytics and automation in the mining industry (HYBRID SASKATOON, SK).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement computer vision models for image and video processing tasks.
• Work with control systems and operational network data to enhance predictive analytics and automation.
• Optimize and deploy machine learning models for real-time and large-scale applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers and domain experts to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
• Conduct data analysis, preprocessing, and feature engineering to improve model performance.
• Research and experiment with the latest advancements in computer vision, AI, and automation.
• Document findings, create reports, and present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python and libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Understanding of control systems, industrial automation, and operational networks.
• Experience working with large datasets and image/video processing techniques.

Must Haves:

• 2-5 years as a Data Scientist or similar role
