Our valued public sector client is seeking to hire a Senior Security Engineer to lead and provide guidance for a cryptographic modernization initiative.

Background:

The Cryptographic Modernization Project (CMP) is an Omnibus project that has been replacing High Assurance End Cryptographic Units (ECU) in the organization's inventory with modernized devices.

Tasks:
  • Lead and provide IT and COMSEC/TEMPEST installation advice and recommendations, including transfer of knowledge to Project Management staff.
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend engineering alternatives to equipment and/or interconnectivity to ensure compliance with COMSEC/TEMPEST-related specifications.
  • Maintain COMSEC lab equipment (KY-58M, KY-99M, KY-100M, KYV-5M, KG-175D, KG-175F, KG-175G or KG-175X) involving installation, upgrades, maintenance of network configuration, security systems hardware, firmware and software applications.
  • Provide updates to COMSEC Training Plan and support COMSEC training delivery and development.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) pertaining to COMSEC survey and software/hardware installations.
Must Haves:
  • COMSEC - 3+ years
  • Team Lead - 1+ year
  • Supporting COMSEC training - 1+ year
  • VACM (KY-58M, KY-99M, KY-100M, or KYV-5M) - 1+ year
  • KIV-7M and Taclane (KG-175D, KG-175F, KG-175G or KG-175X) - 1+ year
  • Top Secret Clearance
