Senior Site Reliability Engineer to provide site reliability engineering services in support of production applications and operations.

Our valued Public Sector Client is looking for an Intermediate Site Reliability Engineer to provide site reliability engineering services in support of production applications and operations.

The work performed under this contract will consist of supporting the Digital Hub in the design, prototyping, development, operation, scaling and sustainment of cloud-based software applications developed following an Agile methodology and leveraging DevOps processes.

Responsibilities:

• Support production applications in collaboration with Development teams and AWS Cloud Enterprise Landing Zone Team;
• Provide on-call troubleshooting, debugging and incident management support;
• Advance infrastructure-as-code and automation with tooling (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) and/or scripting, such as Python and Bash;
• Provide on-call responsive maintenance and automated monitoring of core application functions;
• Contribute to standards and operational requirements for existing and future applications;
• Work to continuously improve operational performance against service level objectives;
• Provide documentation of all major changes implemented;
• At the request of the TA, liaise with the Joint Defence Cloud Project and application Dev Teams to migrate applications from DevTest to Production Cloud space;
• Maintain effective communications via email, phone, Slack, video teleconferencing and meetings in person, as required

Must Haves:

• System Administration 2+years
• Site Reliability Engineering 2+years
• Agile DevOps 2+years
• AWS 2+years
• IaaS (ARM, BICEP or TerraForm) and (Bash or Python)
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Science stream.
